Melissa

I LOVE being a mom. I could eat sushi 3 times a day. If bookstores had beds in them, I'd have no reason to leave. My heart gets all fluttery when I am in a stationery store. Spanglish is my first language. Ikea is my new obsession. I listen to Paramore when editing photos, working out, and giving birth. I crave fast lenses and chocolate chip cookies every other day. Jesus Christ saved my life and continues to save me from myself.

Randy

I eat Chick-Fil-A four times a week, wish I had time to be cycling again, and bake a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies at least twice a month. (Why? Because my wife loves them.)

A week of miracles!

Okay, I totally wish I had three hours to write out the whole story of God’s faithfulness to this young man, Solomon, but unfortunately, I do not. I have mentioned him over the last couple months here on my blog, but again, the whole whole story is amazing, and more of it can be found...

An Ethiopian Extravanganza

As many of you know, adoption is a cause close to our hearts. So it comes as no surprise that I did not hesitate when I was asked to shoot an Ethiopian Dinner graciously put on by an Ethiopian couple in honor of both longtime customers of Tenu’s delicious Ethiopian foods, and families who’ve adopted...

Update on Solomon

Thank you for all your prayers, I keep forgetting to update about Solomon, who I blogged about here. I have copied this from my mom’s blog which she posted last week: Southeastern College called this evening with the great news. Solomon’s TOEFL exam results have arrived and he is in!! They now prepare the I-20...

A boy in Africa…

What a wacky last month or so– earthquakes of huge magnitudes rocked Haiti, Chile, Argentina leaving tsunami threats in their wake…it’s hard to fathom all this suffering. And yet, I am reminded that these are the “birth pains” that foretell of the return of the king who will make all things new again. It’s so...

Three Years.

About three years ago, my parents and  my sister felt that their desire to adopt again was to be redirected from China to Ethiopia. Long story short, it was two days later that their youngest daughters were born across the world in Addis Ababa. Their protective older brother was two and a half at the...
