I am so thankful for blue skies and white puffy clouds. Seriously, to look at a beautiful sky calms me–it’s like it refreshes my soul.
Speaking of calming… today while I was fixing lunch, I heard Vaden clicking something and noticed he was near my desk (a no-no zone). So I shouted, “Vaden, WHAT are you doing?” And my funny little man runs over to me and says matter of factly, “CALM down.”
I burst into laughter and so he kept repeating, “calm down,” followed by a fake laugh. It. was. hilarious.
I still don’t know what he was doing, but I am grateful that it didn’t involve crayons. Because yesterday was a blue-crayon-all-over-everything-in-less-than-a-minute-day. I totally thought that I would escape parenthood unscathed from a crayon mishap because I would closely monitor him…. hahahaha. It took less than a minute for him to color the table, the chair, the carpet, the couch, the pillow, the laundry basket and a little Bible. Don’t worry, we got it all out. But it was a lesson for all of us.
